INTRO TO PISTOL

If you're new to guns and pistols specifically, this is the perfect class for you. Safety is the main focus of this class – to effectively use a firearm you must first know how to safely handle a firearm. This class covers different types of pistols – revolvers, single-action, double-action, and semi-auto are all explained and demonstrated. Students will have a chance to shoot and practice what they learn in the classroom.

This class assumes that students at least have taken an introductory Pistol course or have equivalent experience. We dive into more advanced techniques of using a pistol. Malfunctions, tactics, sight picture and muscle memory are discussed and practiced. We concentrate on mechanics and various intermediate techniques.

INTERMEDIATE PISTOL

This course is for those that have completed the first two courses or have sufficient experience firing and manipulating handguns. Topics such as single-handed, strong hand, and weak hand shooting are discussed. We concentrate on shooting with a handicap and cover various types of malfunctions and how to quickly and safely resolve them in critical situations.

ADVANCED PISTOL

This class meets and exceeds the state of Illinois required minimum of 16-hours of firearms training. It qualifies students for applying for a concealed carry permit in the State of Illinois.  Some of the topics covered include quick and accurate shooting, drawing and shooting from a holster, and lawful and proper way to conceal and carry firearms. Things to look for and avoid are covered as well as proper methods for concealing a firearm and when and where it is safe to do so.

ILLINOIS CONCEAL CARRY

Students wil practice safe, accurate, and technical shooting skills in very low light conditions, and at times under pressure from instructors. Shooting around walls, obstacles, and identifying threat and non-threat targets at critical moments with little visibility is the primary goal of this course. The use of flashlights, lasers, and other techniques are also covered and practiced.

INTRO TO RIFLE

Our Introduction to Rifle class is perfect for those who have always wanted to learn what it takes to shoot long range rifles. We cover the basics of what types of rifles exist and how they are used. We discuss calibers and effective range while concentrating on range and firearm safety.

INTERMEDIATE RIFLE

We learn much more about rifles and proper use. Topics include in-depth analysis of calibers and optics as well as judging windage, distance, and proper sighting depending on use/situation. Shooting at longer distances is covered and proper aiming and alignment techniques.

ADVANCED RIFLE

Building on top of the first two classes, this course continues to dive even deeper into the theory and practice of shooting a rifle.  We dive into greater detail and encounter more challenging scenarios when it comes to adjustments, sight alignment, target acquisition and interference.

LONG RANGE RIFLE

This class is for all who really want to challenge themselves – Building even further on the topics covered in previous classes, the Long Range Rifle Class pushes students to the limits of their skill and the ability of their rifles. We make our students step outside of their comfort zone just enough to push their skills make them learn from their own mistakes. Our instructors provide corrections as needed and help students achieve an almost "zen-like" state with their long range rifle.

CARBINE/TACTICAL RIFLE*

This class is not for the weak of heart or body – Using the latest in weapons technologies our instructors train students in simulation shooting for tactical and high stress situations. If you don’t break a sweat in this class, you’re probably sitting in your car. Using tactical rifles and carbines, students are presented with various configurations and scenarios to challenge them to think and act on their feet. Engaging targets while on the move is just the beginning, students will have to run, squat and shoot from behind cover at various targets, while maintaining focus and efficiency. See Legal Disclaimer.
